Tyler Epp

Guest Lecturer

Tyler Epp has spent the last 20+ years in the sports industry. His career began at the University of Kansas and transitioned into motorsports with stops at multiple teams in the NASCAR industry, including three (3) years as the General Manager of Hall of Fame Racing. This experience provided Epp the opportunity to oversee Business Operations at the San Diego Padres for four (4) seasons and then to join the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013, where has had oversight of the commercial operations, including the Super Bowl season in 2019. Epp graduated from Davidson College with a degree in English and was a four-year letter winner on the tennis team before earning his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law prior to entering the world of sports.

Dr. Shaun Tyrance

Shaun Tyrance is the Team Clinician for the Kansas City Chiefs. Shaun earned his Ph.D. in counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and holds a Master’s in Sport Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He was a four-year letter winner in football at Davidson College where he played quarterback. Shaun served as an academic advisor for football at North Carolina State University, and the Director of Sport Psychology at Chip Ganassi Racing in NASCAR and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As a consultant, Shaun has worked with numerous college and professional athletes.
